Profiles in DonorAtlas are meant to be exported: to use as dossiers or to upload to other platforms as additional data on prospects. You can export a single donor's profile, the donors you've selected in a search, or an entire list.
Exports come in two forms — a spreadsheet (.csv or .xlsx) or a PDF:
| Format | What you get |
|---|---|
| .csv / .xlsx | A spreadsheet with exactly the columns you choose — one row is one donor. |
| Polished, shareable full-profile pages — ideal for briefing packets. |
Exports come out of your team's export credits, but each donor only counts the first time you export them — re-exporting the same donor is free. See Team & usage for how credits work.
Open the donor's profile and click the button at the top. You'll get the full profile as a formatted document, ready for a briefing packet or a board meeting. Try it below:
Any set of search results can be exported:
Select the donors you want
Check the box next to each donor, or use the select-all checkbox at the top of the results to select the whole page.
Click Export
The button above the results shows how many donors you've selected. Click it to open the export dialog.
Pick a format and columns
Choose .csv, .xlsx, or PDF, then choose your columns (more on this below). Your file is ready moments later.
Try the whole flow here:
On the Lists page, click the button on the list's row to export the entire list at once:
Every spreadsheet export opens a column picker where you can choose which columns (and in what order) you'd like in your export. For any list you originally imported to DonorAtlas (see Importing your data), you'll also be able to select the original columns from your imported CSV, in addition to the DonorAtlas fields. Try it here:
In the picker, click a field to add it, and drag to reorder — the order of your Selected Fields is the column order in your file.
Export the same columns regularly? Save your selection as a template and apply it in one click next time.
Templates save the DonorAtlas fields only — custom imported columns aren't stored with them.
Every spreadsheet export includes a DonorAtlas URL column. It's a stable link back to each donor's full profile, so you (or your CRM) can get back to DonorAtlas in one click.
Every export your team runs appears in the Exports card on the page. Check back there anytime for large exports that take a few minutes to process!
