A list is a named group of donors: event invitees, a major gift pipeline, this quarter's outreach, etc. In this article, we'll walk through how to build lists, how to work inside them, and how to keep them organized.
Lists are different from your network: your network holds the people who can make introductions for you, and DonorAtlas uses your network to recommend connections and map relationships. Lists are for any group of donors you want, simply to help you organize. You can save a donor to multiple lists at the same time.
Two lists are built for you and always sit at the top of the page: All Saved Donors (every donor on any of your team's lists) and Donors with Notes. Both update on their own, so you can't add donors to them directly.
To add an individual donor to a list, click the button at the top of the profile and select the lists you'd like to add to. On any page of search results, you can add multiple donors to a list at once by selecting donors using the checkboxes and then clicking the button at the top of the page.
You can save all donors returned by a search by clicking the button, which counts up the donors your search returned. This is limited to 50,000 donors at once.
Uploading a CSV also creates a new list automatically, and the list fills in as DonorAtlas matches and researches each person. See Importing your data for the full walkthrough.
Click any list on the page to open it and see the donors inside. You can then search, filter, and sort within this list using the search bar at the top of the page.
Each list also comes with insights at the top, which show interesting or unique things about this list, and some summary statistics about top interests and net worth.
To remove donors from a list, select them within the list, click the button in the toolbar, and uncheck the list. This doesn't affect their membership on any other lists.
Here are some common things you might want to do with your lists, and how to do them:

Lists synced from your CRM are managed by the integration, so they can't be renamed or deleted here. Learn more about CRM integrations.
