Welcome to DonorAtlas! DonorAtlas is the smartest donor research tool, built from the ground up with AI. DonorAtlas helps fundraisers find prospects, research donors, understand relationships, and raise more money. This starting guide (and the rest of the help center) will introduce you to DonorAtlas and how it works. If you ever need assistance outside this guide, don't hesitate to contact support and we're more than happy to help out!

What DonorAtlas is

DonorAtlas is built on a database of over 200 million people in the United States. AI models pull billions of data points from the internet and distill them into easy-to-read, cited prospect profiles, updated regularly.

Your entry point to this powerful database is the search bar. You can type a specific person's information, or a kind of prospect you want to find (using any criteria you can think of). AI interprets your search and finds donor profiles that match. See Searching for donors for everything you can search and how to combine criteria.

Once you’re on a donor profile, DonorAtlas goes into incredible detail to prepare you: to take a meeting with this donor, prepare a dossier, reach out to them, or simply get to know them better. How to use the data

Once you're looking at a donor profile, there are a few ways to action the data:

Save the profile. Oftentimes, you’re looking up a prospect for a meeting or to prepare a dossier, so you’re finished once you have the profile! Save it to a list so you can find it later! See Managing lists for more info.
Export. Share the link to this donor’s profile to anybody else with a DonorAtlas account, or download their profile as a PDF document for an already-prepared in-depth dossier.
Outreach. DonorAtlas provides contact info where available, if you want to reach out directly. Check if you have any mutual connections with the donor first (see Your network & connections), since that’s often a better way to reach them.
Add to Network. If you know this person and they can introduce you to others, add them to your network so that DonorAtlas’s relationship mapping can be smarter for you in the future!
